Free Willard!

Free Willard! Who cares. Look where he was. I’m not saying I condone the act, but it’s not like he was at the premiere of Dark Knight Rises doing this, or at Starbucks. And who’s watching him instead of the screen? And who reports it? Or what is the cop doing there? I think the point being overlooked is he was in his mid 70′s. He can still do that, so if anything this is a story of hope. Someone tweeted (can’t remember who, when I can I’ll update this to say) that “this is the bad side of old people hating technology. If he had the internet this whole thing could have been avoided.” He was on Twitter though. And apparently his most recent tweet was at me! That’s great. And the last act before that was retweeting this site and my interview with Greg Proops for the “Gettin’ Close” podcast. Gotta love the internet. Leave the man alone. ABC better not touch him as host of Trust Us With Your Life as a result of this. That is, if there will be another season, which hopefully there will be. I’m at work and shouldn’t even be typing this now, so that’s it. Free Willard!
