<itunes:summary>Lots of laughs, information and debate in this, the 7th episode of Stark Raven Mad. In addition to going through the episode in depth, Kevin and Andrew battle over whether the Hound is a good guy or a bad guy, we discuss the "crazy gene" passed down through the Targaryen family and much more. Also includes a version of "You've Got a Friend in Me" rewritten and performed by Jess entitled "You've Got a Friend in Bri" about the growing relationship between Brienne and Jaime. At some point I'll let out my version which is done with a terrible Randy Newman impression.

<itunes:summary>In this 18th episode of the Gettin' Close podcast I chat with one of my improv mentors, Mark Sutton. The Annoyance theater has played a big part in shaping my views about performing improv and Mark specifically has done a great deal to shape my views about teaching it. In addition to the normal background things like how he got interested in comedy, what set him on the improv path, how he met up improv dignitaries like Joe Bill and Mick Napier to form the Annoyance Theater, we also talk a lot about improv theory and the teaching of improv. We break down the improv Philosophy of the Annoyance in various ways. He talks about what he likes about improv. How he'd like teams to be more "theatrical" and much more. This isn't an episode. This is a class. Much like the Rich Talarico episode, you'll want to listen to this again. It's pret-ty good. Sound is a lower quality than it normally is for some reason. Not sure what the deal is there, but it's fine. Like the link on my page, rate/review/subscribe in iTunes. Thanks for listening!

As always the podcast is sponsored by Audible.com! Please go over to audibletrial.com/gettinclosepodcast and sign up for a free, no risk 30 day trial of the audible service. You'll get a free audiobook download and I'll get some money to keep this thing going. It's very much appreciated. If you don't like the service, just cancel before the 30 days are up. Simple as that.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>In this 5th episode we have the same crew as last week (Mike Marbach, Andrew Stanton, Corin Wells, Jessica Ross, Kevin Pettit and Kaitlin Thompson). We now have 200% more sponsors! The first is the creators of the game "Zombie Exodus". A game that you can download via itunes or android stores. Kevin talks more about how awesome it is at the top of the show. The other sponsor is Audible.com. You hear me and Corin talk about the audibooks a lot (itab), so it makes perfect sense audible would jump in. As one of our listeners you get a two free audiobook downloads if you go through audibletrial.com/starkravenmad. If you don't like it for any reason you can cancel. For every trial that signs up through that link the audible kicks a little money our way. So help a brother out.

This episode was a lot of fun to do. In addition to the normal joking throughout the discussion, we also recorded a couple "commercials". One at the top and one at the end. I'm also pretty sure this episode is spoiler free. Please take a moment to rate us on iTunes and if you write a nice review we'll say nice things about you during the show. And head over to facebook and like the Stark Raven Mad page. You'll get all sorts of fun GoT links to check out. Enjoy!</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>"And Now His Watch Is Ended". In this fourth episode of Stark Raven Mad, Mike is joined by Andrew Stanton, Corin Wells, Jessica Ross, Kevin Pettit and newcomer to the podcast, Kaitlin Thompson. In addition to combing through the episode's story lines we open with eulogies for two major losses in the show these last two weeks, debate the pity factor of both Sansa and Theon, discuss the origins of Little Finger's evil, Kevin farts (audibly) and much more. <itunes:summary>Philly Improv Theater Executive Director Greg Maughan is the guest on this latest episode of the Gettin' Close podcast. And it's a long one. Even when compared to others. I thought of editing this down... then thought of breaking it up into two episodes... but nope. I want it all or nothing at all. What can I say... I like to talk. I ask a lot of questions. In this chat we learn why he can never be president, lots of stuff about growing up including a nickname I'm sure he might hear from some people now, lots of information about the formation of PHIT and all that takes place there, we talk about the PHIT staff including myself, his search for a a permanent theater space and what goes into it and much more. It's a long discussion, but a good one. This might be the last epic episode. I think I might try to cut them down a bit in recording. Maybe. Probably not.

You'll also hear why there's been such a delay in getting this episode posted. I've just been busy. One reason I'll say now... another new podcast. If you are getting this on iTunes check out "Stark Raven Mad: A Game of Thrones Podcast". It's me and several other Philly performers of varying familiarity with the books/show recapping each episode and discussing all that's involved. It's a fun time.

As always, please like the link on my page, share the facebook blurbs, rate and subscribe on the iTunes. It's much appreciated.

<itunes:summary>This third episode of Stark Raven Mad covers episode 3 of season 3 of Game of Thrones titled "Walk of Punishment". Record time for getting it posted! I have work tomorrow and wanted to get it done before putting it off till after work... then after a nap... then after an episode of The West Wing and then maybe doing it on Tuesday. But it's done now! This week I am joined by SRM regular Andrew Stanton. Corin Wells is back and has forced the need to change the rating of the podcast to "unclean". We are also joined by newcomers to the podcast, but fans of the books and series, Jessica Ross and Kevin Pettit. This was a real fun episode for me and I think you'll enjoy it. Lots of laughs, but also lots of insight into the world of Game of Thrones without spoiling anything that might be coming.
